This tour will focus on; Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Lake Mburo, Murchison Falls and half day drafting at River Nile
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls
Day 2: Game Drive, Launch Cruise
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala with stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Day 5: Lake Mburo National Park/ Return to Kampala
Day 6: Transfer to Jinja Town. The capital of Adventure
Day 7: Half day rafting on river Nile and visit source of river Nile. Or any of the Optional Activity
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park, have a lunch stop at Kafu (Kabalega Dinner). After lunch enter the park, and then proceed to your Hotel. Dinner and Over night at Red Chilli Hide away.
Day 2: Game Drive, Launch Cruise
After an early breakfast, you shall head out for a game drive. This is a beautiful drive across the savannah, Borassus Palm Forest and grassland down to Lake Albert where the Albert Nile heads north. Drive in the open African savanna in search for Lions, Leopard, Hyena, Buffalo, Elephant, Jackson Hartebeest, Oribi, Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and enjoy spotting various Bird species such as the Secretary Bird, Black Chested Snake Eagle, Tawny and Marshal Eagles Carmine and Swallow Tailed Bee-Eaters, and many more.
In the afternoon, you shall have a boat ride up the Nile, to the legendary Murchison falls, where the park derives its name. Enjoy these spectacular falls and the crocodiles that bask at the bottom of the falls. (Optional)Have a HIKE to the Top of the fall
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala with stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Drive to Kampala. You may choose to have a stop by the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (Optional), a wildlife project concerned with re-introduction of the Rhinos in Uganda, that were declared extinct in the 80’s.
Day 4: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Have breakfast, and then after we drive heading to southwestern Uganda. En route, there is a local community popular for making local drums and crafts and a fruit market. Stopover, admire and buy yourself souvenirs. Proceed to the Equator line taken as one beautiful scenery in Africa – the pathway of the sun and take photographs. Early afternoon, arrive in Lake Mburo for a lunch in the park grounds as you marvel at the game and birds within the park. Take a boat cruise in the afternoon and May be a game drive to look out for zebras, topis, buffalo, eland, impala, water hogs, waterbucks etc
Day 5: Lake Mburo National Park/ Return to Kampala
Rise early for breakfast before a game drive towards the Lake Mburo Rwonyo Park Headquarters. This has often been a good chance of seeing hyenas coming back to their dens, hippos walking back to the water, you will see buffalo, zebra, impala and topi and with a bit of luck maybe even a sitatunga, an antelope rarely seen living in the papyrus swamps. After your early morning activities, return the lodge for checking out before embarking on your return journey to Kampala. On your way out of the park you will see most of the animal species occurring in Lake Mburo National Park. We drive through a magnificent hilly country and lush cultivation on an approximately four-hour journey. We will be in Kampala in the evening.
Day 6: Transfer to Jinja Town. The capital of Adventure After an early breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Jinja where you will check into the Hotel. It’s located strategically at the base of most activities. Have a half day filled with fun. The choices are endless
Day 7: Half day rafting on river Nile and visit source of river Nile. Or any of the Optional Activity
After an early breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Jinja where you will meet your other group members scheduled for water rafting on that day. You will go and visit the source of River Nile, the longest river in Africa. You will enjoy warm lunch at the source of river Nile. Retire for dinner and overnight in Jinja town. Optional Activity are available that can done on this day.
