The Sipi Falls are a series of three waterfalls found in eastern Uganda. The location of the falls is the beginning of many hikes up Mount Elgon. A trip to the intriguing falls offers you the opportunity to embark on a hike to the summit of Mount Elgon. While exploring the falls, you will enjoy a splendid view across Lake Kyoga, the Karamoja plains and the slopes of Mount Elgon.
Day 1: Drive to Sipi falls – embark on a guided village walk

Day 1: Drive to Sipi falls – embark on a guided village walk
This safari begins when you embark on a drive to eastern Uganda, to Kapchorwa district where the Sipi falls are found. You will cross the Nile and vast areas of farmland. You will arrive at the falls just in time to go for a guided village walk. You will explore the coffee plantations and see how Arabica coffee is locally grown and processed.
Day 2: Explore the Sipi falls – hike to Mount Elgon
You will encounter the Sipi falls – a series of three raging waterfalls. After exploring the falls, you will go for a hike up Mount Elgon. The most common route starts in Budadiri and continues via the Sasa trail to the summit, and then descends down the Sipi trail back to the Sipi falls. Hikes around the falls offer breath-taking views across Lake Kyoga, the Karamoja plains and the slopes of Mount Elgon.
Day 3: Return to Kampala – visit River Nile & Mabira forest en-route
You will set out on a drive back to Kampala. You will visit river Nile and Mabira forest en-route. The safari will end when your guide drops you at a location of your choice in the capital.
