19 Days luxury/Moderate safari to East Africa
Day 1: Arrival - Entebbe.
Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed by Able Safaris representative and transferred to your hotel.Overnight at Cassia Lodge. (B&B).
Day 2: Kampala - Murchison Falls.
You will drive to the other side of Murchison Falls National Park. After lunch you will proceed to the top of the fall where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected! Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to one km squeezed through a 7-metre canyon dropping 150 metres with a thunderous roar, creating a beautiful rainbow. In the evening enjoy the superb comfort of Paraa Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Game drive & Boat trip.
Go for an early morning game drive on the northern bank. With the help of the guide, you will spot elephant, lion, Roth child’s giraffe, Cape buffalo, waterbuck, hartebeest, bushbuck, if you are lucky the leopard and other animals. After lunch go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’. You will spot the hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see waterbuck, elephant and Uganda Kob. You will also have an opportunity to view many bird species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. In the evening return at Paraa Safari Lodge. FB
Day 4: Murchison N.P - Kibale N.P.
After a relaxed breakfast we will transfer to Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park, while passing the region of the Crater Lakes. Here we will explore some small lakes, before heading to our accommodation for tonight. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.
Day 5: Chimp trekking & Bigodi swamp.
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the Moon Hotel.
Day 6: Kibale N.P - Queen Elizabeth N.P.
After breakfast, we will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an enroute Lunch. Dinner and overnight at either Katala Lodge or Kyambura Game Lodge.
Day 7: Game drive & Boat cruise
You will have a morning game drive In Queen Elizabeth National Park. Then after lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This boat cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Dinner and overnight at either Katala Lodge or Kyambura Game Lodge
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth N.P - Volcanoes N.P.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Kinigi in Rwanda the home of the gorillas with an enroute stopover at Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight at either Mt Gorilla View Lodge or Le Bambou Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla tracking
Looking in the eye of the gorilla will be the highlight of the whole safari! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Dinner and overnight at Mt Gorilla View Lodge or Le Bambou Lodge..
Day 10: Arrival / Kilimanjaro Airport / Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport from Kigali, met and assisted. Transfer to Arusha for the night on bed and breakfast, Kibo Palace Hotel.
Day 11: Arusha / Ngorongoro
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area crossing on the way the small villages of MtoWaMbu and Karatu with unique views of the high altitude rain forest surrounding the ring. Descend into the crater for extended game viewing. In the evening ascend into the crater rim for dinner & overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge, B,L,and D
Day 12: Ngorongoro / Serengeti
After breakfast, proceed to Serengeti National Park, arriving in time for lunch and siesta. Serengeti has breathtaking vista of a landscape teeming with game. Big game feed in full view of in this park. There will be an afternoon game viewing with a return to the lodge in the evening at Seronera Wildlife Lodge set high on a hill with breathtaking vista of a landscape teeming with game. Big game feed in full view of the lodge itself. The lodge design is simple but stunning, inspired by a traditional African Village.

Day 13: Serengeti / Isebania / Masai Mara
After breakfast, drive across the Kenya/Tanzania border at Isebania and proceed to Masai Mara Game Reserve. Masai Mara is arguably the world's most famous game reserve with unrivalled natural beauty and wildlife concentration. It forms part of the Great Mara-Serengeti ecosystem. It is home to all the big five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and the rhino).
Over 95 species of mammals are found in this great reserve. Besides mammals, over 350 bird species have been recorded here and the scenic beauty is unrivalled. Enroute game viewing to arrive at Mara Sopa Lodge, B,L,D
Day 14: Masai Mara
Spend the day in Masai Mara with game drives in the park. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge, B,L,D
Optional activities at extra cost:
1. Visit to a Maasai cultural manyatta to learn about the local community's culture and traditions - US$ 25 per person 2. Early morning hot air balloon ride touching down for a champagne breakfast in the bush - US$ 450 per person
Day 15: Masai Mara/Nairobi/Mombasa
Distance: 290km, 5hrs. After an early breakfast depart to Nairobi and visit Baby Elephant Orphanage. Transfer to the airport for a scheduled departure flight to Mombasa. On arrival, met and assisted. Transfer to Leopard Beach Resort & Spa on all inclusive accommodation basis, B,L,D (Optional flight from Masai Mara to Nairobi, $195 per person and optional direct flight from Masai Mara to Mombasa, add $240 per person).
Day 16-18: Mombasa
Spend the days on leisure and relaxation at the beach on own. All inclusive accommodation at Leopard Beach Resort & Spa, B,L,D.
Day 19: Mombasa/Nairobi/Departure
Today, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight from Mombasa back to Nairobi to connect with your departure flight back home, B.
